When we first set foot in Haiti, I realized I truly didn’t know what I was getting myself into. That’s usually what happens, however, when you give it all to GodJ. The time our group was to spend in Haiti was mostly centered on being with kids.  We were to hold a V.B.S. week in a village that has never had a group of teens come and minister to them, especially white onesJ. I couldn’t believe the excitement the kids showed as they ran to greet us once we arrived.  Every single one of them wanted to hold our hand and walk with us everywhere we went. It was so precious.  I fell in love with all of them.  One thing that amazed me the most was what one of the Haitian elders said to our group on the first day we were there.  Through a translator he told us that for twenty years he had been praying for a V.B.S. to come and visit this village. Twenty years! It completely blew me away that before I was even born God knew who he would send to answer this faithful man’s prayer. Throughout this entire five day V.B.S., we were able to provide crafts, games (they loved soccer), a meal, songs, and most importantly the message of Jesus Christ to many who had never even heard His name. I grew to love that village and it was very hard to say goodbye. It truly amazed me how much love and attention these children needed, and I was just so blessed to be there and have the opportunity to give it to them.

God is great. God is Good. Praise Christ!
